Wainuiomata Town Centre Upgrade

Project Scope:
This civil project included upgrade works to the town centre of Wainuiomata to create a vibrant, safe, and attractive place. The scope was heavily influenced by the community, and included but was not limited to new road reconstruction and resurfacing, streetlight and amenity lighting, new seating and street furniture, tree planting and soft landscaping, new sewer and stormwater drainage and a new timber deck and basketball court. The project was spilt over 4 Separable Portions which ensured that the businesses and roads within the town centre could still operate effectively.

Maltbys Engagement:
Maltbys were engaged to prepare the initial masterplan estimate which formulated the budget for this project. Once funding was secured a measure and value lump sum contract went to the market for Stage 1, Maltbys undertook the price analysis and recommended our preferred tender based on contractor availability at the time. Throughout the course of the project, we provided construction advice as both the Engineer to Contract and Project Quantity Surveyor for this project. We worked closely with the Client and Project to team to provide ongoing detailed cost management advice and Engineer to Contract services including project budget advice, risk assessment and cost analysis.
