New World, Taumarunui

Project Scope:
This project included the demolition of the existing supermarket to enable the new store to be built on the existing site. Meanwhile, a temporary New World was operating out of the Taumarunui Sports Club for the 15-month construction programme. Maltbys provided Quantity Surveying services for both the enabling/demolition package and for the new store which was procured and delivered under a Design and Build model. The team including Livingstone Building and Frequency worked collaboratively together to manoeuvre through the challenges of the relatively remote location, the Covid environment and supply constraints to deliver the project ahead of programme and under budget. Maltbys attended the grand opening on 24th January 2023.
