Matt was welcomed back to Maltbys as a Director from April 2020 having originally started his career in Wellington as a cadet. He has over 25 years experience in the industry as consultant, client and main contractor, both in NZ and the UK, and accordingly has a comprehensive understanding of the broader industry and the various key drivers and suitable procurement, strategic risk management and delivery solutions.

Matt is a member of the NZIQS, has completed a National Diploma in Construction and a Bachelor of Construction (majoring in Quantity Surveying).

Matt has significant experience across a wide range of health, social housing, education, seismic, civic, industrial, infrastructure, office and residential projects. This includes holding project-based roles, senior management positions and during the last 12 years a regional general management position for one of New Zealand largest main contractors.
